Welcome back
to the Southern Area of Prospect's Retired Members Group.
Where are we?
As retired members, we are organised geographically rather than by our former working branches; our Southern area extends broadly from the New Forest through to Exmoor, including the postcodes BH, DT and TA - but we welcome any Prospect retired member to our meetings.
Meetings
We currently hold two formal meetings a year:
* a Spring/Summer meeting towards the end of May, and
* our Area AGM, shortly before the clocks go back in October.
Both meetings are held in the Council Chamber of Lyme Regis' Guildhall, and are usually - technology permitting - also accessible remotely via Zoom.
We also send representatives to the retired members' Annual Delegate Conference (ADC).
"Open" committee meetings
Additionally, following both the ADC, early each year, and Prospect's national Biennial Delegate Conference every other summer, we normally hold a "wash-up" meeting, open to our membership via Zoom, to help them keep in touch with Prospect.

Web pages and member contact
We are still reinstating our local website, following Prospect's recent IT upgrade.
We now have just this one "public" page, which is not designed to be frequently updated; we are in the process of adding further pages, including meeting details, which may be reached by logging in to Prospect's website.
We can also update our members through Prospect's mass email system, as before.
However, since Prospect does not currently fund postage, we are unable to update anyone via hardcopy.
